H. F. Enterprises

(1966-1974)

H.F. Enterprises was run by Mr. Henry Farmer and was based in Montclair, New Jersey.

Mr. Farmer used the logo pictured above on many of his Solexes.

I have seen the logo on the seat post, on the frame side, and on the metal fuel tank.

I have seen HFE Solexes in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

National Inventor's Society

(1966-1974)

National Inventors S 3800 sticker - blue luxe

National Inventors Society was run by Mr. Jim Neil and was based in Detroit, Michigan. Mr. Neil would purchase all of the individual Solex pieces from the Veloslex factory in France, and then he and his workers would assemble the bikes in his warehouse. The sticker pictured above was then affixed to the seat post, stating the the bike was "Made in Detroit". Often, the "Made in France" metal tag was removed. I have found National Inventors Society Solexes in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. From what I have seen, Mr. Neil sold more Solexes in the USA than anybody else.

Detroit is definitely "Solex Central" because of his work.
